Job Description

Job Summary:
The Lead Business Development Manager will drive the organization’s growth by identifying new opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and developing innovative fundraising and business development strategies. This role requires a proactive, results-oriented professional capable of leading a team and expanding organizational reach.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Development & Fundraising:

  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new business opportunities, partnerships, and funding sources.
  • Develop and implement strategies for corporate engagement, CSR partnerships, and donor mobilization.
  • Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and presentations to prospective partners and funders.
  • Retain existing partners while continuously exploring new funding opportunities.

Strategy & Planning:

  • Lead the development and execution of business development and fundraising strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Set quarterly and annual targets, monitor performance, and ensure the team meets growth objectives.
  • Provide market insights and recommend strategies for organizational growth and visibility.

Team Leadership & Management:

  • Lead, mentor, and supervise the business development team, ensuring effective execution of tasks.
  • Foster collaboration across departments to align projects with business development goals.
  • Monitor team performance, provide guidance, and support professional growth.

Relationship Management & Networking:

  • Build and maintain relationships with corporates, government bodies, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization at industry events, workshops, and networking forums.
  • Ensure timely and professional communication with partners and donors.

Monitoring & Reporting:

  • Track business development activities, maintain a robust database of prospects, and prepare MIS reports.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of strategies and campaigns, suggesting improvements as needed.

Other Responsibilities:

  • Explore innovative approaches to resource mobilization and business expansion.
  • Any other task assigned by senior management.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Proven experience in business development, fundraising, or corporate partnerships in the non-profit or social impact sector.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic planning skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and deliver results.
