Your primary responsibilities will involve developing and executing category strategies, analyzing market trends, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing product assortment.

Roles And Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement category strategies to drive sales and profits.
  • Analyze market trends, consumer behavior, and competitor activities to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Manage supplier relationships, negotiations, and contracts to ensure competitive pricing and product availability.
  • Optimize product assortment based on sales performance, customer preferences, and market trends.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to align category strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as sales performance, margin, and inventory turnover to track category performance.
  • Develop promotional strategies and campaigns to drive category visibility and sales.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and consumer preferences to proactively identify opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare and present regular reports to senior management on category performance, insights, and strategic recommendations.
Your role as a Category Manager requires strong analytical skills, business acumen, strategic thinking, and effective communication to drive category growth and profitability. With 0 to 6 years of experience, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the organization's success by shaping the category's performance and market presence.
