Ensuring the execution is in line to the approved BBS. - Ensure recording of site instructions if any and timely submission to the QS engineer. - Control wastage to contain it within the permissible limits. Encourage use of cut pieces and scrap wherever possible. Explore gainful use of surplus / waste concrete. - Support the QS engineer in formulating the Rate Analysis for any Non Tender item required to be executed as per approved drawings. Ensure the rate is approved prior to execution of the work and amendment issued. - Keep up to date record of all the reasons attributable to client for delay in his work area and ensure that the same is available when required for Extension of Time & realizing overrun charges. - Preparation and submission of daily progress data to planning engineer. 2. Sub-Contractor Management : - Raising requisitions in advance and follow up with PM for brought out items and third party works. - Monitor labour supply contractors for adequate manpower supply in line with the project targets. - Monitor third party works for timely supply and release of fronts in line with project schedule. - Ensure timely submission of bills for respective labor contractors and third parity works and follow-up for its payments. - Ensuring daily weekly productivity of respective contractors. 3. Special jobs and innovative approach: - Have focus on special jobs requiring specialized agencies and equipment. Align and execute on the common understanding for these works. - Adopt new methodologies for improving productivity and cost optimization wherever possible. - Ensure proper protocols and clearances before execution of any works from concerned stakeholders. - Preparation, submission and documentation of handing over protocols for all completed structures. - Expeditious liquidation of snag list for final demobilization from the assigned area. 4. Team Building: - Keep the team motivated and inculcate spirit of team work. - Use work in hand to impart technical and practical knowledge to improve productivity and quality. - Have regular interactions with the team members and identify area for training to improve their performance. - Ensure interdepartmental coordination for the timely and smooth functioning.
