Civil Surveyor

Job Purpose:

To perform precise land surveys for earthwork operations including excavation, filling, cutting, and leveling. The Land Surveyor will ensure all measurements, layouts, and records are accurate and compliant with project specifications and drawings.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct

  topographical, contour, and layout surveys

  for earthwork and leveling.
• Establish

  control points, benchmarks, and reference grids

  as per project drawings.
• Perform

  setting out

  for excavation, filling, and cutting operations.
• Monitor and record

  cut/fill quantities, slopes, and compaction levels

  .
• Operate and maintain

  DGPS, Total Station, and Auto Level instruments

  with precision.
• Verify and maintain accuracy of site levels throughout construction.
  
• Prepare and update

  as-built drawings

  ,

  level sheets

  , and

  survey reports

  .
• Coordinate with

  site engineers, quality teams, and heavy equipment operators

  for smooth execution.
• Ensure

  survey instruments are calibrated and maintained

  as per manufacturer standards.
• Maintain organized records of all survey data and approvals.
  

Qualifications & Experience:

• Diploma / B.Tech in Civil Engineering or Surveying.

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience

  in DGPS and Total Station operations for earthwork, filling, and cutting works.
• Experience in infrastructure, road, or irrigation projects preferred.
  

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in

  DGPS, Total Station, and Auto Level

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  AutoCAD

  ,

  Civil 3D

  , and other survey data software.
• Excellent understanding of

  earthwork and grading principles

  .
• Ability to calculate

  cut/fill volumes

  and prepare

  as-built drawings

• Strong

  analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills

• Good communication and coordination with project teams.
