Job Description: Land Acquisition Expert – Mumbai

Position Title: Land Acquisition (Retired Tehsildar)

Location:

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead end-to-end land acquisition processes including identification, negotiation, due diligence, and legal formalities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws (e.g., The Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition Act, 2013, Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, etc.)
• Manage liaison with government authorities, municipal corporations, collectors, SRA, MHADA, and other regulatory bodies.
• Provide legal and procedural inputs during project bidding, especially on land readiness and risk assessment.
• Coordinate with legal teams to ensure title verification, encumbrance checks, mutation, and registration of acquired lands.
• Negotiate and settle land prices, compensation, and resettlement packages with landowners and local stakeholders.
• Evaluate land parcels for feasibility, zoning, FSI potential, and integration into project design.
• Support bid preparation by providing accurate land acquisition timelines, cost estimates, and risk mitigation strategies.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong understanding of land acquisition laws and urban development regulations in Maharashtra
• Proven track record of acquiring land for large-scale infrastructure or real estate projects
• Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills
• Expertise in dealing with government departments and regulatory bodies
• Ability to handle sensitive socio-political environments and resolve conflicts
• Good communication, documentation, and reporting abilities

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹50,181.94 - ₹156,439.82 per month
