Lab Incharge

1. Laboratory Management:

• Oversee daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that experiments and tests are conducted according to established protocols and timelines.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, tools, and instruments, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Schedule and supervise routine maintenance, calibration, and repairs of lab equipment.
• Maintain inventory of lab supplies and order replacements as necessary.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of the lab to meet health, safety, and regulatory standards.

2. Staff Supervision:

• Supervise lab staff and provide guidance and training on procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of equipment.
• Assign tasks to lab assistants and other personnel, ensuring effective workload distribution.
• Evaluate staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.
• Manage staff schedules and ensure adequate staffing levels at all times.

3. Safety and Compliance:

• Ensure all lab activities comply with safety regulations, industry standards, and legal requirements (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
• Develop, implement, and monitor laboratory safety protocols (e.g., handling of hazardous materials, waste disposal).
• Conduct regular safety audits and inspections, reporting and addressing any non-compliance issues.
• Train lab personnel on safety practices, emergency response protocols, and first aid procedures.
• Ensure the lab maintains proper documentation for audits and inspections.

4. Experimentation and Data Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and monitoring of laboratory experiments and tests.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and maintain accurate records in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Assist researchers and other stakeholders in designing experiments and troubleshooting technical problems.
• Ensure all data and results are appropriately documented and stored in lab databases or physical files.

5. Budget and Resource Management:

• Monitor and control the laboratory’s budget, ensuring cost-effective purchasing and resource allocation.
• Forecast future needs for supplies, equipment, and personnel, and recommend improvements for lab operations.
• Keep track of expenses and maintain records of all purchases.

6. Research Support:

• Provide technical and logistical support for research projects and experiments.
• Assist researchers in troubleshooting issues with equipment, protocols, and data analysis.
• Coordinate the preparation of reports, publications, and presentations related to lab findings.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹42,571.59 per month
