Job Description

About the role:

The L1 - IT Support executive will handle IT-related tasks assigned to them. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network problems, providing timely resolutions, and escalating complex or unresolved issues to higher-level support teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Respond to IT support requests via email, chat, or phone call
Troubleshoot basic hardware issues (PCs, printers, scanners, etc.)
Troubleshoot software issues (Windows/Mac OS, MS Office, common applications)
Assist with password resets, account setups, and access requests
Maintain and update the IT ticketing system
Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT team members
Document common solutions and provide guidance to end-users

Required Skills:

Knowledge of Windows and Mac OS
Understanding of networking fundamentals (LAN, Wi-Fi)
Familiarity with office software (MS Office, email clients etc.)
Basic printer/scanner troubleshooting
Password and account management
Good verbal and written communication
Customer service orientation
Problem-solving and analytical thinking
Ability to follow standard escalation procedures

Qualifications & Experience:

Diploma or Bachelors in IT, Computer Science or equivalent qualification
Technical certifications such as CCNA, ITIL Foundation, or AWS Cloud would be an added advantage.
Minimum 2 years experience in IT support or helpdesk preferred
