Job Description

acquiring new customers, growing the liability base, and cross-selling various bank and third-party products like loans and insurance

  • Client acquisition:

    Acquire new clients through leads and open market strategies to expand the customer base.
  • Liability growth:

    Deepen relationships with existing, mapped clients to increase their holdings in Current Account (CASA) and Fixed Deposits (FD).
  • Sales and cross-selling:

    Sell a range of bank products (e.g., credit cards, loans) and third-party products (e.g., insurance) to meet client needs and revenue targets.
  • Client servicing:

    Address all banking needs of mapped clients, resolve their queries, and ensure their activation and engagement with digital banking channels.
  • Relationship management:

    Regularly meet with and call clients to discuss their needs, cross-sell new products, and maintain long-term, high-quality relationships.
  • Campaign participation:

    Actively participate in and drive campaigns for liability products and other banking services.
  • Compliance and reporting:

    Adhere to internal sales processes and compliance standards, and provide timely and accurate reports on client activity and sales performance.

Key skills and qualifications

  • Education:

    A Bachelor's degree in a related field like Business or Marketing is typically required.
  • Experience:

    Previous experience in banking sales, especially with portfolio management, is often preferred, with a minimum of 3-5 years often stipulated.
  • Sales skills:

    Proven sales acumen with a track record of meeting or exceeding targets is essential.
  • Interpersonal skills:

    Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills are necessary to manage key accounts effectively.
  • Technical skills:

    Proficiency with CRM software and data analysis is often required.
  • Certifications:

    Relevant certifications, such as AMFI or IRDA, may be needed for specific product sales like insurance.
