Junior Vendor Development Engineer

The Junior Vendor Development role involves supporting the vendor management process by assisting in vendor identification, onboarding, and documentation. The position requires coordination with vendors for quotations and samples, maintaining vendor records, and supporting performance monitoring. The role also includes collaborating with internal teams for timely procurement, learning negotiation and cost analysis, and staying updated on industry trends to ensure effective vendor relations and procurement efficiency.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

* 2-4 years of experience in Vendor Development, Procurement,

* Supply Chain Management • Basic knowledge of manufacturing sector (Sheet Metal, Plastic & Rubber materials preferred).

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

* Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.

* Willingness to learn vendor selection, evaluation, and management processes.

* Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). 

Key Responsibilities:

* Assist in identifying and evaluating potential vendors based on company requirements.

* Support the onboarding process of new vendors under senior guidance.

* Coordinate with vendors for quotations, samples, and basic documentation.

* Maintain and update vendor databases and records.

* Assist in monitoring vendor performance and escalate issues to senior team members.

* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials.

* Learn and support vendor negotiation, contract handling, and cost analysis activities.

* Stay updated with basic industry trends, materials, and vendor practices.
