Junior Planning-cum-Billing Engineer For Project Site

The company is looking for a Junior Planning cum Billing Engineer for the project site. The role involves project progress tracking, invoicing, coordination with multiple stakeholders and providing regular project updates.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the baseline project schedule in line with contract requirements covering all activities from engineering to commissioning.
• Coordinate with the RCM, project head and HO teams for support.
• Prepare and compile DPR, WPR and MPR.
• Prepare and compile invoices with all supporting documents for certification, including monthly and final bills such as RA bills, subcontractor bills and client bills.
• Verify quantities from drawings and site execution and reconcile billing data with project progress and financial records.
• Maintain billing logs, work orders and contract agreements and ensure all billing documents are approved by the client.
• Prepare documentation for claims, variations and change orders and resolve billing issues with clients, vendors and internal teams
• Update and review planned versus actual progress activity wise.
• Prepare short and long-term resource allocation plans.
• Gather actual data, update schedules and prepare reliable forecasts.
• Read and interpret tank and piping drawings, P&IDs and apply relevant codes and standards such as API 650, ASME B31.3, SIS-05 59 00, ASTM and IS standards.
• Track progress across civil, tankages, structural steel, piping, firefighting systems, cross-country pipelines, electrical, instrumentation and plumbing.
• Coordinate with clients, design, procurement, suppliers and subcontractors for progress and billing.
• Work with accounts and finance teams to ensure timely payments and collections and support audit requirements.
• Monitor project budgets with planning and finance and track material and labour costs. • Identify cost overruns and recommend corrective measures.
• Generate MIS reports on billing status, cash flow and outstanding payments.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms and statutory requirements including WC policy, BG, security deposit, PF, ESIC, GST and TDS.
• Prepare presentations and minutes for client review meetings and follow up on pending points.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Experience in planning and billing for tank fabrication and pipeline works.
• Strong understanding of technical drawings and industry codes and standards. • Good time management and planning.
• Methodical working style.
• Strong IT skills and knowledge of planning software, including MS Project.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Bachelors degree or diploma in mechanical engineering.
• Experience: 2+ years for degree holders, 5+ years for diploma holders.

Shared bachelor accommodation & local transport to/from the site will be provided by the company.
