Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Perform
precision alignment
of equipment using dial gauges, feeler gauges, laser alignment tools, straight edges, etc.
Install, assemble, and fit mechanical components and equipment.
Perform
shaft alignment, motor alignment, coupling alignment, and belt alignment
.
Inspect and troubleshoot vibration, noise, overheating, and misalignment issues in rotating equipment.
Read and interpret mechanical
drawings, layouts, P&ID, and specifications
.
Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance activities.
Repair or replace defective parts like bearings, seals, pulleys, couplings, and shafts.
Ensure tool care, workplace safety, and proper documentation of maintenance activities.
Coordinate with production and maintenance teams for timely job completion.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of
alignment techniques & tools
.
Understanding of
rotating equipment and mechanical components
.
Ability to work with precision measuring instruments.
Basic knowledge of welding and fabrication is an added advantage.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Awareness of
safety standards and LOTO procedures
