Additionally, you will perform engineering calculations, simulations, and modeling to evaluate the performance and reliability of mechanical systems and propose solutions to optimize system performance. Ensuring quality control and compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices will be a critical part of your role. You will conduct quality control reviews to verify design integrity and safety, as well as confirm compliance with customer specifications. Cost estimation and budget management will also be essential, requiring collaboration with the project team to prepare cost estimates for mechanical components and equipment while identifying cost-saving opportunities. Your work experience of 10+ years in mechanical engineering, specifically in water and wastewater treatment systems, will be valuable in this role. You should be familiar with industrial standards such as ANSI, ASME, API, and design software like PVElite.
