HIRING: Our client, a leading independent Liquid Storage Tank provider in India, specializing in the storage and handling of all liquid chemicals and oil products, besides also being in the business of manufacturing specialty chemicals, food preservatives and oil additives, is looking to urgently hire a RESIDENT CONSTRUCTION MANAGER (RCM)for their EPC Services team. Location: HAZIRA, India. Immediate joiners preferred. Job Title & Description RCM (Plant Piping & Structural works Package at Site, Hazira, Gujarat) Job brief The company is URGENTLY seeking a reliable & experienced Resident Construction Manager (RCM) to join their team. This position will be responsible for managing the project and overseeing its progress from start to finish in a timely and cost-effective manner. Roles & responsibilities Oversee all onsite constructions to monitor compliance with the contractual requirements and applicable standards, technical specifications, and safety regulations. Review in depth the contract and other documents to schedule the deliverables. Ensure that all construction activities align with the established timelines and budget. Coordinate, manage and direct the entire site team including project engineers, supervisors, QC, HSE people, painting team, construction workers and subcontractors. Select tools, materials and equipment and track inventory. Ensure proper reconciliation of raw materials through the project. Review the work progress on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. Preparation of internal and external reports pertaining to job status. Understand the deliverables and manage the team to meet the schedules. Collaborate with various stakeholders i.e. client / PMC/ external agencies / sub-contractors for job related discussions, permissions, and requirements including work permits . Plan ahead, analyze, manage, and mitigate risks. Ensure quality checks on construction activities as per applicable standards and use proper construction techniques. Regularly report to the project head /HO about the work status. Qualification and skills Bachelor or Diploma in Mechanical engineering. Minimum 15 years of experience, with atleast 3 years in an RCM role in a piping project. Proven work experience in pipeline construction activities. Added experience in tankage projects, storage terminals, tank farms, etc . would be an advantage. Advanced knowledge of construction & quality management processes, means & methods, standards like API 650. Understanding of all facets of the tank & pipeline works construction/fabrication process. Ability to plan and see the big picture. Competent in conflict and crisis management. Leadership and human resources management skills. Good communication skills (both written & oral) in English & Hindi language. Keen attention to details and strong organizational skills. Excellent time and project management skills. Note: Bachelor's accommodation and transport to the site will be provided by the company.
