Junior MEP Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled MEP Engineer with a strong background in Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, and Fire Fighting systems to join our project execution team. The ideal candidate will oversee design coordination, installation, quality control, and commissioning of all MEP services across residential, commercial, and mixed-use development projects. The role requires hands-on experience, technical expertise, and the ability to work closely with consultants, contractors, and internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design Review & Coordination

• Review MEP drawings, designs, and BOQs submitted by consultants.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, local authority codes, and international standards.
• Coordinate with architectural and structural teams to resolve design conflicts.

2. Project Execution & Supervision

• Monitor site installation of Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Fighting systems.
• Ensure contractors follow approved drawings, quality standards, and safety guidelines.
• Conduct regular site inspections to track work progress and highlight deviations.

3. Vendor & Contractor Management

• Review technical submittals, material approvals, and shop drawings.
• Supervise contractor performance and ensure timely project execution.
• Assist in procurement by evaluating MEP materials and equipment.

4. Testing, Commissioning & Handovers

• Oversee testing and commissioning of MEP services.
• Verify performance of systems as per design parameters.
• Support in project handover documentation, O&M manuals, and snag rectification.

5. Compliance & Quality Assurance

• Ensure adherence to statutory regulations, building codes, and safety standards.
• Maintain quality control documentation, inspection checklists, and reports.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong technical knowledge of Electrical systems, HVAC, Plumbing & Drainage, and Fire Fighting.
• Hands-on experience with MEP coordination for real estate construction projects.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and MEP-related software.
• Understanding of local authority regulations (e.g., Fire Dept., Electricity Board, Municipality).
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and project management skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP engineering within the real estate or construction sector.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, residential townships, or commercial projects preferred.
