About the Role

Junior Data Engineer

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with data, has a strong analytical mindset, and wants to grow their skills in modern data engineering tools and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in building and maintaining scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Support the development and optimization of data models, databases, and data warehouses.
Work with structured and unstructured data to ensure accuracy, quality, and consistency.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to deliver clean, reliable, and well-structured datasets.
Monitor and troubleshoot data workflows, identifying issues and optimizing for performance.
Document data processes, workflows, and architecture for internal use and future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role (internship or project experience acceptable).
Strong understanding of SQL and relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Basic programming skills in Python or Java.
Familiarity with ETL concepts, data integration, and data modeling.
Understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred / Good-to-Have

Exposure to data pipeline tools such as Apache Airflow or Luigi.
Knowledge of big data technologies like Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka.
Experience with version control tools (Git) and CI/CD practices.
Familiarity with APIs, data ingestion, and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or Looker).
