Job Description

Job Title:

Junior Data Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Support the design, development, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and ETL processes.
Assist in data integration from multiple sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineers to deliver reliable datasets.
Work with both structured and unstructured data to improve data accessibility and quality.
Monitor and optimize data workflows for performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues.
Document data architecture, processes, and solutions for ongoing reference.

Required Skills & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
0–2 years of experience in data engineering or related roles (internships or academic projects acceptable).
Proficiency in
SQL
and understanding of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.).
Familiarity with programming languages such as
Python
or
Java
.
Basic knowledge of ETL concepts, data integration, and data modeling.
Exposure to cloud platforms (
AWS
,
Azure
, or
GCP
) and data services.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data pipeline tools (Apache Airflow, Luigi, or similar).
Exposure to big data frameworks like
Spark
or
Hadoop
.
Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, or Looker).
Understanding of version control (Git) and CI/CD practices.
Knowledge of APIs and data ingestion techniques.
