Junior Android Developer

Major Responsibilities:

• Plan, design, modify and implement software applications from functional and system design specifications.
• Code, integrate, test, debug, and refine software to produce the required product.
• Develop tools and subsystems to support software development, testing, and reuse, and manage their implementation.
• Enhance software to reduce operating time or improve efficiency and robustness.
• Review, evaluate, and analyze design interfaces.
• Prepare, review, and evaluate interface documentation, specifications, test plans, and procedures.
• Assist in definition, analysis, and allocation of requirements.
• Support system test programs and analyze system testing results.
• Maintain the developed software efficiently through familiarity with software lifecycles.
• Document designs in engineering documents including functional block diagrams and data/logic flow charts.
• Assist in troubleshooting and debugging of designs.

Knowledge/Skill Requirements:

• Experience in Java, Kotlin / Android Studio / SDK; knowledge of MVVM, MVP, MVC.
• AWS as preferred cloud.
• Prior experience with multimedia application development including streaming audio/video servers and clients highly desirable.
• Familiarity with concepts, practices, and procedures in the discipline.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and make efficient use of resources.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in small teams and interface with customers via documentation.

Education/Experience Requirements:

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 1.5 - 3 years’ work experience.
