Junior Accountant

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our finance team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to gain hands-on experience and develop their skills in accounting and financial management. As a Trainee, you will work closely with senior accountants to assist with a variety of accounting tasks, supporting the overall financial operations of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documents.
• Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
• Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Process invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable management.
• Prepare and maintain financial spreadsheets.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Help with the preparation of tax returns and other regulatory filings.
• Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain filing systems and ensure records are up to date.
• Support auditors and internal teams during audits.
• Handle ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Tally) is a mandatory.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Experiences of financial regulations and compliance standards.
• Basic understanding of tax laws and reporting requirements.
