Junior Accountant

Job Description

1. General Accounting Duties Assist with the preparation of financial statements and reports. Maintain general ledger entries and reconcile accounts. Support month-end and year-end closing processes. 2. Accounts Payable and Receivable Process invoices and payments accurately and on time. Prepare and send out bills and invoices to clients. Track outstanding receivables and follow up on late payments. 3. Bank and Account Reconciliations Reconcile bank statements with company financial records. Identify and resolve discrepancies. 4. Payroll Assistance Help process payroll and ensure accuracy in wage calculations. Maintain payroll records and assist with employee expense reimbursements. 5. Data Entry and Recordkeeping Accurately input financial data into accounting systems. Maintain and organize financial documents and records. 6. Compliance and Audits Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations. Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting principles. 7. Budgeting and Forecasting Support Assist with the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts. Help monitor budget variances and report findings. 8. Tax Preparation Support Gather necessary documentation for tax filing. Assist with the preparation of tax returns and related documentation. 9. Communication and Coordination Communicate with vendors, clients, and internal departments regarding financial matters. Collaborate with senior accountants and finance managers.
