Job Title: Junior Sous Chef

Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our culinary team. The Junior Sous Chef will assist the Sous Chef and Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, supervising staff, maintaining food quality and hygiene standards, and ensuring smooth service. This role requires strong culinary knowledge, leadership abilities, and a hands-on approach in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Sous Chef in planning, preparing, and executing menu items.
• Supervise and guide junior kitchen staff, cooks, and trainees.
• Ensure all dishes are prepared and presented in line with company standards.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and kitchen cleanliness (HACCP compliance).
• Support in menu development, portion control, and cost management.
• Monitor inventory levels, place orders, and minimize food wastage.
• Train and mentor kitchen staff to maintain consistency and efficiency.
• Assist in scheduling staff and ensuring smooth operations during service.
• Step in to lead the kitchen in the absence of the Sous Chef.
• Ensure smooth coordination between kitchen and service teams.

Requirements:

• Diploma/Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent certification.
• Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or similar role, with progression towards a supervisory role.
• Strong culinary, plating, and presentation skills across multiple cuisines.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations and kitchen management practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt in a high-volume kitchen.
• Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
