Responsibilities

  • Work with clients to gather, document, and understand their business requirements, especially in areas like finance, purchasing, sales, inventory, and reporting.
  • Assist in mapping business processes to Business Central features/modules; help in identifying gaps and recommending standard or configurable solutions.
  • Support configuration of Business Central modules: setting up master data, parameterization, chart of accounts, posting setups etc.
  • Prepare functional requirement documents, process flows, user stories, or use case documents.
  • Participate in testing: unit testing, system testing, and assist in user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Aid the senior consultant / manager in preparing training materials and performing end-user training sessions.
  • Provide post-go-live support under supervision: help with troubleshooting, resolving minor configuration issues.
  • Assist in project coordination: tracking tasks, preparing status reports, organizing meetings with clients and internal teams.
  • Maintain documentation – functional specs, meeting minutes, test cases, change requests, etc.
  • Participate in client meetings, workshops, and provide updates as needed.


Qualifications:

  • Experience:

     1-2 years working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central (or NAV) in either consulting, implementation, support, or related roles.
  • Domain knowledge:

     Solid understanding of business/business-finance processes such as general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, inventory, purchasing, sales is a plus.
  • Communication:

     Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact with clients, understand their requirements, clarify doubts, and present functional ideas clearly.
  • Client-facing aptitude:

     Comfortable dealing with clients, taking feedback, following up, managing expectations under the guidance of seniors.
  • Analytical mindset:

     Able to dissect problems, think logically, identify root-causes, propose options.
  • Documentation and attention to detail:

     Able to prepare clear requirement docs, process flows, test cases, user guides etc.
  • Teamwork:

     Works well in a team, takes instructions, supports senior consultants/manager.
  • Learning attitude:

     Keen to learn new modules, best practices, Microsoft updates, certification paths.
