Analyze functional specifications and translate them into technical specifications. Work closely with functional teams to gather requirements and clarify any discrepancies. Create and manage technical documentation for ABAP development. Debug and troubleshoot existing ABAP applications to enhance performance. Implement changes and enhancements based on user feedback. Design and develop reports and interfaces using ABAP. Utilize SAP data dictionary objects like tables, views, and data elements. Participate in system upgrades and migrations. Adhere to coding standards and best practices in ABAP programming. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions. Assist in developing test plans and performing unit testing. Optimize ABAP code for performance improvements. Participate in code reviews to uphold quality assurance standards. Stay updated with the latest trends in SAP and ABAP development. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field. 3-4 years of experience in ABAP development. Familiarity with SAP ERP modules like SD, MM, or FI. Strong debugging and analytical skills. Experience with object-oriented ABAP is a plus. Knowledge of SAP enhancements and user exits. Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient in performance tuning of ABAP programs. Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC). Ability to document technical specifications effectively. Experience with the SAP transport management system. Attention to detail and problem-solving skills. Willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies. Familiarity with Agile methodologies is advantageous.
