The HR Generalist plays a vital role in managing the day-to-day operations of the HR functions and duties. In an automobile dealership environment, the HR Generalist supports recruitment, employee relations, compliance, training, attendance, and performance management activities, ensuring a smooth and efficient dealership workforce. Key Responsibilities:1. Recruitment & Onboarding Coordinate and conduct recruitment for various departments (Sales, Service, Body Shop, Admin, etc.). Draft and post job advertisements on portals and social media. Screen resumes, schedule interviews, and coordinate hiring processes. Conduct employee onboarding, documentation, and induction programs. 2. Attendance & Payroll Monitor biometric attendance system and maintain attendance records. Coordinate with the accounts team for payroll processing. Maintain leave records and prepare monthly attendance reports. 3. Employee Engagement & Relations Handle employee grievances and address queries related to policies and procedures. Promote employee engagement through events, celebrations, and team activities. Conduct exit interviews and analyze turnover trends. 4. Training & Development Identify training needs in coordination with department heads. Arrange internal/external training programs for service advisors, technicians, and sales staff. Maintain training records and follow-up for feedback and effectiveness. 5. Compliance & Documentation Ensure compliance with labor laws, ESI, PF, and other statutory regulations. Maintain and update HR files, employee records, and personal files. Support in audits and dealership certifications related to HR processes. 6. Performance Management Assist in setting KPIs in consultation with management. Coordinate performance review cycles and probation evaluations. Support corrective action and disciplinary procedures. 7. Administrative Support Handle uniform issuance, ID cards, canteen coordination, etc. Coordinate with security, housekeeping, and facility management for staff support. Maintain internal HR dashboards and reports. Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR / Management / Commerce (MBA preferred). 2–4 years of HR experience, preferably in a retail or automobile dealership. Good knowledge of labor laws and statutory compliances. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Proficient in MS Office and HR management systems. Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
