you ll be our: EHS Officer you ll be based at: Hosur Factory you ll be Aligned with: EHSS Head you ll be a member of: Operations What you ll do at Ather: Liaise with government agencies (Factory Inspectorate, Pollution Control Board, local municipal authorities, Labour Department, etc.) to get necessary authorisations for the factory and ensure legal compliance. Participate in cross-functional teams to develop safety standards that are implemented throughout all operations. Implement the E&S policy for factory, ensure it is compliant with the legal and regulatory requirements, company policies Develop systems for EHS Management, documentation like MSDS, ensuring coverage of all area of process like Accident Investigation, Work permit, LOTO, Authorization, Waste handling management, etc., through P-D-C-A cycle Draft SOPs for key activities like traffic safety, 5S, non-routine activity, maintenance work, Incident reporting, etc. Carry out risk assessment (HIRA) for all processes/ routine-non routine activities at our factories and initiate Corrective Action-Preventive Action (CAPA) Implement ergonomic study for key processes and set-up controls Inspect, audit, and monitor the work area with respect to EHS standards and improve controls Inspect new machinery and layout change for any EHS deviations /EHS Potential Hazards Participate in Change Management by assessing risk and proposing controls on Change Points in the Man, Machine, Material, and Method Conduct and coordinate pre-medical examination, periodic medical examination, and fitness tests for all employees as may be necessary for legal/regulatory and company policy compliance Monitor the lighting, ventilation, noise, etc. of the work environment and initiate controls Continuously monitor the vicinity of all facilities for impending hazards to safety, health, and environment; plan for measures to tackle the same Set up internal EHSS committees to understand unknown risks and ensure bottom-up and top-down communication Conduct awareness programs pertaining to General safety, road safety, pollution control, etc. Identify key legal tracking list and ensure compliances and maintain records Conduct statutory inspections such as lifting tackles, pressure vessels, air monitoring, stack emission, printed circuit boards (PCBs), etc. Review the Work permits system and identify the risks and taking necessary mitigation measures Incident investigation is carried out in order to reduce the same Performing a Daily Walkthrough Audit and reporting potential safety hazards, near-misses, and environmental hazards. To complete the action plan, track the safety opportunities and keep a register. Collaborate with CFT to complete the action plan. Work with the appropriate team to identify energy and water-saving projects and to coordinate with them for completion. Ensure that hazardous wastes are stored and disposed of in accordance with PCB regulations. Mock drill for safety and the environment Emergencies and emergency preparedness training for the ERT Team monthly reporting on KPIs for safety and the environment, as well as EHSS activities Conduct an EHSS New Employee Induction Training and various EHSS Trainings and examining members, as well as maintaining the training records Machine safety equipment, electrical panels, LOTO registers, vehicles, and MHEs are inspected on a regular basis, and noncompliance is reported. Collaboration with teams is required for mitigation measures. Monitoring environmental parameters and taking appropriate action against noncompliance Monitoring the Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions and take necessary actions to reduce the same Ensure Contractor Safety by planning various safety programs/systems.
