Job Description :

System setup: Defining configured items, item segments, and rules that govern product features and options.
Rule development: Creating and modifying cross-segment editing rules and assembly inclusion rules to ensure valid product configurations. This also includes defining pricing rules. Calculations and logic: Developing derived calculations using algebraic, trigonometric, or logical functions to determine product specifications. Integration: Ensuring seamless integration of the Configurator with other JDE World modules, such as Sales Order Management, Inventory Management, and Shop Floor Management. Testing and support: Participating in the testing of new configurations and providing support to users on configured item processes.

Summary of required skills

To perform these duties, the ideal candidate would possess:

Experience: 5+ years of recent experience with the JDE World software, including the manufacturing and configurator modules.

Technical proficiency: Strong development skills on the AS/400 platform, including RPG, CL, and SQL, and familiarity with JDE World development tools. Also, proficiency in handling EDI related tasks and familiarity with GENTRAN. Comfortability with SQL and Embedded SQL in RPG. Familiarity with SQL Indexes and DDM

Functional knowledge: A solid understanding of manufacturing processes and the interdependencies between the Configurator and other manufacturing/distribution modules.

Communication: Excellent communication skills for interacting with business users to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.

Analytical ability: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills for debugging issues and designing effective solutions.

Work Hours: 2:00 pm to 11:00 pm IST.
