Project Description: New settlements and confirmation system for FX trades. Responsibilities You will be developing a new system/platform - settlements and confirmation system for FX trades. You are: • passionate about modern development techniques; you will believe strongly in the benefits of test-driven development, automated testing and continuous integration • appreciate industry best practices and always look for applications of these within your daily work. You will understand the importance of ensuring good code quality and will participate in code refactoring, pair programming and code reviews. • understand and apply good software engineering principles and be able to work collaboratively with others to implement the best solutions. • co-ordinate and participate in major releases, and has supported critical production defects. • feel comfortable picking up any tasks required to deliver a feature as you have developed a well-rounded skill set through your involvement in all aspects of software delivery. (2-3 years) • collaborate with other team members, institute technical excellence and deliver benefits to the business within budget • write functional/automated tests using open source frameworks like FitNesse, Selenium, Spock, Cucumber. Mandatory Skills: We are looking for a person who has minimum 9+ years of experience in Software Development utilizing Java and possess following skills - • Should have Strong, in-depth and hands-on knowledge & understanding of Core & Advanced Java concepts. • Should have good knowledge and hands-on experience in working with Spring-Springboot/Camel, JUnit, Hibernate to build Microservices. • Should be experienced and familiar in working with Shell Scripts, Unix, PL/SQL, Databases (Oracle/Postgres), IBM MQ & JMS. • Should have good knowledge & working experience in Cloud components. • Good to have additional skills of Struts or UI development using Java Script, HTML, ReactJS. • Should have hands-on experience with building distributed systems, Java messaging technologies and databases. • Should have strong object oriented analysis & design skills. • Should have good domain knowledge of Investment Banking - Trade Settlement Systems & Payment. • Should have good communication & presentation skills. • Should have hands-on experience with Agile methodologies & metrics like Velocity, Burndown chart, Story points etc. • Should have strong organizational and quality assurance skills. • Should have exposure to tools like GITLAB, Devops like Teamcity, Nexus, Maven/Gradle etc. Nice-to-Have Skills: • Passionate about what you do, you value excellence, learning and integrity, you like a work environment that places emphasis on team work, collaboration and delivering business value while working at a sustainable pace • Someone who is self-driven and like to solve complex problem on their own • Proactive, detail-oriented and comfortable working in dynamic environments with fast paced deliveries and changing requirements • Should be a quick learner Show more Show less
