We are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join our team, focusing on the development of server-side components and robust backend systems. If you have a passion for leveraging cutting-edge technologies to create efficient and scalable solutions, this role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the next generation of financial technology applications within the Aladdin Studio Data Experience team. As a Backend Engineer, you will collaborate closely with a team of elite developers, concentrating on architecting and implementing backend functionalities that power seamless financial workflows. Operating at the intersection of technology and design, you will work alongside product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver a suite of tools facilitating client access and innovation with financial data—from research to production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with a cross-functional team of engineers to design and implement backend solutions that support modern and elegant frontend tools.

• Ensure code quality, reliability, and performance by adhering to internal standards and conducting thorough testing of backend applications.

• Identify and implement opportunities to enhance the accessibility, performance, and stability of backend systems.

• Mentor team members on best practices in backend development, testing standards, and the implementation of DevOps methodologies.

• Participate actively in Scrum-based ceremonies and contribute to the delivery of software through Agile methodologies.

• Work closely with data, compute, cloud, and API teams across the broader Studio engineering community to optimize value and meet project timelines.

Desirable Skills:

• 3+ years of experience in building robust backend systems and components.

• Hands-on experience developing complex enterprise software systems.

• Strong proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming with expertise in languages such as Python, Java, etc.

• Familiarity with various data platforms, including relational, key-value, and index-based tools.

• Demonstrated passion for refining architecture, testing, and version control processes.

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Experience with data cloud/warehousing tools.
