IT Specialist

As an Information Technology (IT) Specialist, your role involves managing, maintaining, and supporting your organization's IT systems and infrastructure. You will be responsible for providing technical assistance to employees, ensuring the security and functionality of computer systems, networks, and software applications, and troubleshooting hardware and software issues to ensure the smooth operation of technology within the organization. Key Responsibilities: - Provide technical assistance and support to employees regarding IT issues, including hardware, software, network, and system errors. - Diagnose and resolve technical problems related to computer systems, hardware, and software. - Set up and manage computer networks, including local area networks (LANs) and wide area networks (WANs). - Monitor network performance, troubleshoot network issues, and ensure network security and stability. - Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, servers, and software applications. - Manage user accounts, permissions, email systems, and file servers. - Implement and maintain security measures to protect computer systems, networks, and data. - Procure, install, and configure computer hardware and software components. - Create and maintain documentation, including system configurations, user manuals, and troubleshooting guides. - Collaborate with other IT professionals, department heads, and stakeholders to identify technology needs and solutions. - Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards related to IT security and data protection. - Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend relevant improvements and updates. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's degree preferred). - Proven experience as an IT Specialist or similar role. - Proficiency in operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS), network protocols, and security protocols. - Familiarity with hardware components, software applications, and troubleshooting techniques. - Knowledge of virtualization technologies, cloud computing, and mobile devices. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - IT certifications (such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are a plus.,
