Role Overview

Government Sales Executive

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and manage business opportunities with Government departments, PSUs, and local bodies.
  • Manage tendering processes including

    GeM, e-Procurement portals, RFPs, EOIs, and bidding

    .
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers and officers in government departments.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (technical, finance, and operations) to prepare proposals, compliance documents, and presentations.
  • Ensure timely follow-up on submitted bids and proposals.
  • Track and analyze government policies, schemes, and upcoming projects relevant to company offerings.
  • Represent the company in government meetings, exhibitions, and official interactions.
  • Achieve assigned sales targets and report progress to management.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration / Marketing / Engineering / IT or related field. MBA preferred.
  • 35 years of proven experience in

    Government Sales / Tender Management / B2G Sales

    .
  • Strong understanding of

    government procurement policies, tendering procedures, and compliance requirements

    .
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and government e-procurement platforms (GeM, CPPP, state tender sites).
  • Strong presentation and documentation skills.
