Summary:
The “IT Project Specialist” will be based in Chennai, reporting to Manager
What a typical day looks like:

Develops, evaluates, and defines procedures to have products properly implemented to the Flex client infrastructure, according to all IT security baselines and policies in place

Implements and guides Client & Desktop Team (CDT) to define procedures, standards, and technologies on global/regional/site level.

Acts as 3rd level escalation contact for IT administrators and Global Helpdesk on CDT implementation assignments.

Assists with maintaining CDT intranet portal information up to date.

Monitors and enforces defined client security policies.

Works on troubleshooting to solve problems coming from client infrastructure where data investigation requires evaluation of identifiable factors.

Assures change control on client infrastructure and topics related to CDT implementations and procedures.

Proposes and implements enhancements that will improve the usability, performance, and reliability of the Flex client environment in adherence with the project scope and budget.

Prepares standard operating procedures for the day-to-day maintenance of the Flex client infrastructure and implements adequate administrative tools and processes while ensuring monitoring and controls are in place to ensure stability of systems.

Establishes clear communication channels and ensures proper feedback mechanisms are in place with customers, peers, and cross-functional teams.

Adheres to Service Level Agreements of Flex while ensuring timely reviews with stakeholders per communication plans.

Ensures minimum MTTR (Mean Time to Repair), while fixing problems; follows up with proper root cause analysis, corrective & preventive actions with an aim to increase MTBF (Mean Time Between Failures).

Accountable for overall client infrastructure security compliance and requirements.

Proposes system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that will improve performance and reliability of clients in adherence with the project scope and budget.

Guides, where applicable, on administrative or operational matters to ensure operations’ effective achievement of goals.

Reviews operational goals to define success of operations; develops, modifies, and executes company policies that affect immediate operations that may also have company-wide effect.

Establishes and assures adherence to budgets, schedules, work plans and performance requirements.

Implements appropriate HR strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
Experience we are looking to add to our team :

Typically requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and training.
-
Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
-
Demonstrates operations and technical skills and understanding of Flex client related functional standards.
-
Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and a solid understanding of Flex client standards, policies and procedures.
-
Knowledge of SOX Compliance rules for Flex Systems.
-
PMP by PMI Certification or similar (L25 & L26)
-
Impacts the near-term (quarterly/semi-annual) operational success of the function.
