Roles & Responsibility of IT Manager:
· Manage and oversee healthcare IT systems, including HMS/EMR, EHR, PACS, LIS,, and third-party clinical systems
· Design, implement, and maintain IT infrastructure: on-Prem and cloud servers, virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V), storage, and data centres
· Manage network architecture including LAN/WAN, VLANs, VPNs, firewalls, load balancers, and Wi-Fi in clinical environments
· Implement and enforce cybersecurity controls: IAM, MFA, endpoint protection, SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability management, and patching
· Oversee cybersecurity measures to protect patient data and systems
· Manage IT projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new technology implementations
· Collaborate with clinical, administrative, and compliance teams to align IT solutions with operational needs
· Plan and manage backup, business continuity, and disaster recovery solutions; conduct periodic DR drills
· Monitor system performance and resolve incidents through root cause analysis
· Manage IT service management including incident, change, problem, and asset management
· Oversee cloud platforms (Go4Hosting) including security, cost optimization, and hybrid environments
· Lead technology refresh and upgrade projects, ensuring minimal disruption to clinical operations
· Manage vendors, SLAs, licensing, and software compliance
· Maintain detailed technical documentation, system diagrams, SOPs, and audit evidence
· Lead IT infrastructure operations: servers, networks, cloud services, backups, and disaster recovery
· Maintain relationships with hardware, software, and service vendors.
· Evaluate vendor performance and ensure service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
· Negotiate contracts and coordinate renewals or escalations as required.
· Manage Internet Service Provider accounts and ensure uninterrupted connectivity.
· Verify invoices, process payments, and track budget utilization for all IT vendors
· Maintain up-to-date records of software licenses and renewals.
· Ensure compliance with licensing agreements and audit readiness
· Oversee facility management vendors for IT infrastructure (AMC, maintenance, etc.).
· Ensure timely preventive maintenance and prompt resolution of facility-related IT issues.
· Track IT assets (laptops, desktops, peripherals, network equipment, etc.).
· Maintain accurate asset lifecycle documentation — procurement to disposal.
· Provide Support to End user for IT Complaints
· Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure minimal downtime
· Prepare IT budgets, manage costs, and recommend technology investments
