Job Description

  • Technical Support: Serving as the first point of contact for resolving user issues related to software, hardware, and networking.
  • Infrastructure Maintenance: Installing, configuring, and maintaining servers, networks, and workstations.
  • System Security: Monitoring and maintaining system security, updating antivirus software regularly, and reporting potential cybersecurity threats.
  • Hardware and Software Management: Troubleshooting and repairing components, performing routine inspections, and managing hardware/software upgrades.
  • Documentation: Creating and maintaining technical procedures, manuals, and support logs for training and reference.
  • Administrative Tasks: Managing help desk tickets, maintaining IT asset inventories, and coordinating with external vendors for equipment or repairs.
  • Core Requirements and Qualifications Education: Most employers require a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. Some roles may accept an Associate's degree combined with relevant experience.
  • Experience: Typically 1–3 years of experience in an IT support or technical role is required. Specialized roles, such as an IT Associate Manager, may require 5+ years of experience.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows, Linux, and Mac OS.
  • Knowledge of networking principles (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP) and Active Directory.
  • Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V).
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python, Bash) are often considered a plus.
  • Certifications: Common preferred certifications include CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or vendor-specific credentials from Cisco (CCNA) or Microsoft.
  • Workplace Skills (Soft Skills) Problem-Solving: The ability to conduct root-cause analysis and provide corrective actions for complex technical issues.
  • Communication: Explaining technical concepts to non-technical audiences clearly and concisely.
  • Organization: Managing multiple tasks simultaneously and meeting strict deadlines in fast-paced environments.
  • Customer Service: Interacting professionally and positively with both internal employees and external clients.

Pay: ₹280,445.06 - ₹988,333.58 per year
