Inventory Manager

Key Responsibilities: Inventory Tracking and Management: Monitoring inventory levels, using inventory management software, and implementing systems to optimize stock control. Order Management: Placing orders for new stock when needed, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery. Supplier Relations: Building and maintaining relationships with suppliers, negotiating deals, and resolving supply-related issues. Team Leadership: Supervising and training warehouse staff, delegating tasks, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols. Reporting and Analysis: Generating reports on inventory levels, sales data, and other relevant metrics to identify areas for improvement and optimize inventory management practices. Physical Activities: Assisting with the physical handling of inventory, such as unloading shipments, stocking shelves, and preparing items for shipping. Cost Optimization: Identifying opportunities to reduce storage costs, improve efficiency, and minimize inventory losses. Skills and Qualifications: Strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in using inventory management software and computer systems. Familiarity with supply chain management principles. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Educational Background and Experience: Many positions require at least an Associate's degree in business or a related field, with some preferring a Bachelor's degree. Relevant experience in inventory management, warehouse operations, or supply chain logistics is highly valued. Certifications like CPIM (Certified in Production and Inventory Management) may also be beneficial.
