Role Overview: As the Lab Manager for the Prototype Lab within the Research and Development (R&D) Unit of the Drone Technology division, you will oversee the day-to-day operations, manage a team, and ensure successful development and testing of drone prototypes. Your role requires technical expertise, leadership skills, and a hands-on approach to drive innovation. Key Responsibilities: - **Lab Operations Management:** - Oversee daily operations, resource allocation, and safety protocols. - Maintain and organize lab space, equipment, and tools. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align activities with project goals. - **Team Leadership:** - Lead and motivate technicians, fostering collaboration and innovation. - Provide guidance and support, identifying and addressing training requirements. - **Project Management:** - Develop and execute prototyping plans within timelines. - Collaborate with R&D leadership to define project objectives. - Monitor prototype progress and address deviations promptly. - **Technical Expertise:** - Stay updated on drone technology developments. - Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with external partners. - **Quality Assurance:** - Implement quality control processes for reliable prototypes. - Develop testing protocols and collaborate with V&V team. - **Documentation and Reporting:** - Maintain detailed records of experiments and testing results. - Generate comprehensive reports for stakeholders and assist in documentation preparation. Qualifications: - Bachelor's or higher degree in relevant engineering or scientific discipline. - Proven leadership experience in R&D or prototype lab. - Strong background in drone technology or related fields. - Excellent project management, organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. - Familiarity with safety and compliance standards. - Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment. - 10+ years of senior-level experience. - Strong and influential personality. - Armed Forces veterans could be considered.,
