Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Purchasing Assistant located in Ludhiana. The Purchasing Assistant will be responsible for managing purchasing processes, including creating and tracking purchase orders, procuring materials and services, and maintaining records. Daily tasks will include coordinating with suppliers, negotiating terms, and ensuring timely delivery of goods. The role also involves communicating effectively with internal departments to ensure procurement needs are met efficiently.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintaining Inventory Accuracy and performing Physical Inventory counts
• Skills in managing Shipping & Receiving processes
• Expertise in Inventory Control and Inventory Management
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work effectively on-site and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Experience in the manufacturing or engineering industry is a plus
• Relevant certifications or associate's/bachelor's degree in supply chain management or related field is beneficial

Responsibilities

• Monitor, track, and update stock levels of raw materials, components, spare parts, and consumables
• Perform regular physical stock counts and reconcile with system records
• Receive incoming materials, verify against purchase orders and delivery challans.
• Issue materials to production based on job orders or material requisitions.
• Maintain inventory records in ERP, inventory management software, or Excel.
• Update bin cards, stock registers, and digital databases accurately.
• Coordinate with the purchase department for replenishment of stock.
• Communicate shortages, discrepancies, or excess stock to relevant departments.
• Work closely with production to anticipate material needs.
