About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and highly experienced Instrumentation Engineer with hands-on expertise in fully-automatic Tetra Pak processing and packaging machinery used in modern dairy plants. The ideal candidate must be capable of independently managing, troubleshooting, calibrating, and optimizing dairy production lines, ensuring maximum uptime and adherence to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot fully-automatic Tetra Pak machinery (UHT, pasteurizers, filling machines, aseptic lines, homogenizers, CIP systems, etc.).
• Conduct routine inspections, calibration, and health checks of all instrumentation, sensors, PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and control panels.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to automation systems, pneumatic/hydraulic controls, flow meters, pressure transmitters, temperature sensors, level sensors, valves, and actuators.
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance as per the OEM manual and plant schedules.
• Ensure smooth running of dairy processing lines including milk reception, standardization, chilling, pasteurization, filling, and packaging.
• Coordinate with production and maintenance teams to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
• Maintain documentation related to instrumentation, calibration logs, machine history cards, compliance records, and SOPs.
• Implement improvements and upgrades in automation, controls, and process optimization.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and ISO standards applicable to dairy operations.

Skills & Competencies Required

• Strong hands-on experience with Tetra Pak automation, PLC programming, and troubleshooting (Tetra Pak® Automation Platform preferred).
• Excellent understanding of dairy processing equipment, P&IDs, instrumentation loops, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of industrial automation systems such as Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Rockwell, etc.
• Ability to identify root causes of equipment failures and recommend corrective actions.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced dairy production environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills.

Qualification

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Instrumentation Engineering, Electronics & Instrumentation, Electrical & Instrumentation, or equivalent.
• Certifications in Tetra Pak or industrial automation (preferred but not mandatory).

Experience

• Minimum 3 years and up to 5 years of relevant experience in dairy industry instrumentation, automation, and Tetra Pak machinery handling.

Compensation

• Salary is negotiable based on experience, skills, and technical depth.
