Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Fitter/Welder to join our maintenance team in a dairy processing facility. The role involves fabrication, installation, maintenance, and repair of stainless-steel pipelines, dairy equipment, and structural components to ensure hygienic and efficient plant operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate and assemble stainless steel pipework (including TIG welding) for milk and fluid handling systems
• Install and maintain dairy process equipment including pasteurizers, separators, homogenizers, tanks, pumps, and valves
• Perform precision welding to hygienic standards, ensuring all joints are smooth and free from contaminants
• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and P&IDs (piping and instrumentation diagrams)
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments
• Maintain records of work performed and ensure compliance with food safety and plant maintenance protocols
• Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and other maintenance staff for coordinated repairs and upgrades
• Follow workplace safety and hygiene standards, particularly CIP/SIP and food-grade cleanliness requirements
• Operate tools, equipment, and machinery including grinders, plasma cutters, and pipe benders

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a fitter/welder, preferably in a food or dairy processing environment
• Strong TIG welding skills, especially on thin-wall stainless steel
• Knowledge of sanitary welding and food-grade fabrication standards (3-A, ASME BPE preferred)
• Ability to work from technical drawings and engineering specifications
• Understanding of mechanical systems, pumps, pneumatics, and valves
• Familiarity with health and safety regulations in industrial settings
• Willingness to work flexible hours or respond to emergencies as required

Qualifications:

• Technical/vocational certification in welding/fitting or equivalent experience
• Valid welding certification (preferred)
• Forklift or elevated work platform certification (a plus)

Working Conditions:

• Industrial dairy plant environment
• Exposure to noise, heat, cleaning chemicals, and dairy products
• PPE must be worn at all times (gloves, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.)
• Some work at heights or in confined spaces

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
