About the Role As a Manager - New Initiatives in the Experience & Central Initiatives team at Shopsy, you will lead the execution of high-impact strategic programs that solve complex business problems and drive scalable growth. This role demands a structured, first-principles approach to problem-solving; the ability to break down ambiguity, build clarity from scratch, and define solutions grounded in logic, data, and business context. You’ll gather and analyze large data sets, simplify complex decisions, and convert insights into practical, high impact actions. The role is deeply cross-functional, requiring collaboration across product, category, operations, and analytics to bring new initiatives to life. About the Team Shopsy is one of India’s largest and fastest-growing online marketplaces, designed for the value conscious customer of Bharat. We aim to democratize access to quality, affordable products and empower millions of Indian households to improve their standard of living through digital commerce. Key Responsibilities ● First-Principles & Structured Problem Solving: Break down ambiguous challenges by identifying root problems, rejecting assumptions, and applying logic-based frameworks. Solve from scratch using clarity over convention. ● Program Execution: Lead execution of business-critical programs with structured roadmaps, milestone-based planning, and performance tracking. Ensure speed and quality with high ownership. ● Insight-to-Action Analytics: Use large and varied data sets to uncover patterns, identify root causes, and quantify opportunities. Build dashboards, models, or experiments that turn insights into action and drive measurable impact. ● New Initiative Ownership: Launch and scale new growth bets — Build hypotheses, execute pilots, and scale proven solutions. ● Stakeholder Management: Collaborate across product, analytics, marketing, and ops. Communicate with precision through crisp updates, structured reviews, and insight-backed storytelling. What You’ll Need: ● 2–4 years in consulting, strategy, or program management. Experience in e-commerce, tech startups, or scaling 0-to-1 initiatives. ●Strong analytical toolkit – Excel, SQL, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker). ● Structured thinking using first principles – ability to build from fundamentals, not templates. ● Clear and effective communication – structured business storytelling via decks, reports, and discussions. ● Experience with experiments, metric trees, customer journeys, or RCA frameworks.
