Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Information Technology Network Engineer located in Chennai. The Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting, providing technical support, managing network security, and maintaining the networking infrastructure. Daily tasks include diagnosing technical issues, implementing solutions, ensuring security protocols are followed, and collaborating with other departments to meet IT needs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring, managing, and securing the enterprise network and security infrastructures. This role requires an immediate joiner with a proactive mindset, strong technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Network & Security Monitoring: Continuously monitor network and security systems for potential threats, vulnerabilities, and performance issues. Incident Response: Detect, analyze, and respond to security incidents, coordinating with internal and external teams as needed. System Maintenance & Optimization: Ensure network and security infrastructure, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), VPNs, and cloud security solutions, are running efficiently. Collaboration & Escalation: Work within a worldwide IT Department to troubleshoot issues, escalate critical incidents, and implement long-term security strategies. Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Relevant certifications (CCNA, CCNP, CISSP, CEH, etc.) are a plus. Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in system, network, and cybersecurity operations, or IT infrastructure management. Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure: Server and Desktop OS, Hypervisor, Backup systems Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and cloud security. Familiarity with endpoint security, threat intelligence platforms, and vulnerability assessment tools. Familiarity with scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, Bash) for automation Preferred technologies: Fortinet security fabric, VMWare, Veeam, Datto RMM, Microsoft technologies Show more Show less
