INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING MANAGER

Job Title: Manager – Industrial Engineering (IED)
Department: CNC Shop / Manufacturing
Reports To: Plant Head

Job Summary:

The Manager – Industrial Engineering (IED) is responsible for driving productivity, process improvements, and cost optimization within the CNC machining shop. The role involves strategic planning, implementation of lean manufacturing practices, layout planning, time and motion studies, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure operational efficiency and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process Optimization & Improvement
• Analyze and improve CNC machining processes to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
• Lead time and motion studies to optimize cycle time and resource utilization.
• Standardize work procedures and create work instructions.
• Implement best practices and lean manufacturing principles (5S, Kaizen, SMED, etc.).
• Capacity Planning & Layout Design
• Conduct capacity planning and line balancing to meet production targets.
• Design and update plant layout to improve material flow and reduce bottlenecks.
• Plan and execute factory expansion or re-layout projects.
• Productivity & Cost Analysis
• Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to CNC productivity, downtime, OEE, and resource utilization.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis of new equipment, process changes, and automation opportunities.
• New Product Development (NPD) Support
• Collaborate with R&D and production teams for smooth integration of new CNC parts and processes.
• Assist in tool design and fixture planning for new components.
• Data Management & Reporting
• Maintain accurate data for standard times, process routings, and efficiency metrics.
• Team Leadership & Development
• Lead, train, and develop a team of industrial engineers and technical staff.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
• Technical Skills:
• Proficient in CNC machining processes and machine capabilities (Turning, Milling, Multi-Axis).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
