Role: Architect – 7-10 Years +

Job Description

We are looking for a great Sr. Architect who is proficient with Java, Python and Django, has at least 7-10 years of relevant experience in software development roles. The primary role will be on developing microservices and ensuring good code practices and architecture across teammates. The candidate will have end to end ownership of the architecture, to ensure it is robust and easy to maintain. The architect will also enable frontend integrations and coordinate with the team to gather details related to feature roadmap. The architect will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure, cloud, edge and devops layer. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality is important.

Responsibilities

1. Architecting and implementing code & solutions as per requirements
2. Future proofingservice designs and conducting code reviews
3. Strong understanding of design principles and design patterns
4. Understanding and implementing lifecyclescenarios like databasemigrations, edge integrations, cloud connect, cloud architecture etc
5. Developing robustmicroservices and applications with Django/Java as backend
6. Integrating and maintaining Python/Java services and applications
7. Developing streaming architectures using message brokers like MQTT, Kafka etc
8. Directing teams to write unit tests for 100% code coverage
9. Owning microservices DevOps tasks, like deploying throughK8s & Docker
10. Understanding of the end to end application architecture, platform architecture and deployment scenarios
11. Integrating Bespoke Edge components with AWS cloud IDF components like Kinesis, IOT Core, timestream etc.
12. Understanding of modern remote deployment developments based on ansible or SALT

Skills Required

1. Strong relevantexperience of at least 7-10 years
2. Strong understanding of Edge computing environments in industrial environments
3. Strong proficiency in Java or Python and Django
4. Proficient on modelling applications on both RDBMS and NOSQL databases
5. Experience of production deployment scenarios, database migrations and performance tuning
6. Deep knowledgeof relevant protocolslike HTTP, HTTP2,TLS etc. and REST design
7. Ability to understand businessrequirements and translate them into technical requirements
8. Aknack for benchmarking and optimization, usingtechniques like shardingand various forms of caching
9. Well awareof the secure codingpractices
10. Familiarity with code versioning tools, specially Git
11. Exposure to Docker is amust
12. Experience in execution of SDLCs and deployment strategies

Desired Exposure

1. Exposure to gRPC, K8s, any other service mesh and DevOps technology
2. Exposure to React Frontendimplementation, deeper JS skills
3. Exposure to Python frameworks like Pandas, Flask,TensorFlow, etc.
4. Exposure to timeseries databases and analytics frameworks
5. Exposure to Java, SpringBoot and other ecosystem technologies
6. Exposure to AWS IDF offering and architecture
7. Exposure to Industrial protocols like OPC UA, modbus, OPC DA, native PLC data integration is a plus
