Industrial Edge Architect

You are a skilled Senior Architect with a solid background in Java, Python, and Django, boasting 7-10+ years of relevant experience in software development roles. In this role, your primary focus will be on developing microservices, upholding strong code practices, and ensuring cohesive architecture throughout the team. Taking full ownership of the architecture, your responsibility is to guarantee its robustness and ease of maintenance. You will play a crucial role in enabling frontend integrations, collaborating with the team to gather feature roadmap details, and coordinating with colleagues across different layers of infrastructure, cloud, edge, and DevOps. Your commitment to collaborative problem-solving, sophisticated design, and quality will be pivotal to your success. As a Senior Architect, your key responsibilities will include architecting and implementing code and solutions according to requirements, future-proofing service designs, conducting code reviews, and demonstrating a deep understanding of design principles and patterns. You will be tasked with implementing lifecycle scenarios such as database migrations, edge integrations, cloud connectivity, and architecture, developing robust microservices and applications using Django/Java as the backend, integrating and maintaining Python/Java services and applications, and creating streaming architectures utilizing message brokers like MQTT and Kafka. Additionally, you will lead teams in writing unit tests for 100% code coverage, oversee microservices DevOps tasks including deployment through K8s and Docker, and grasp end-to-end application and platform architecture alongside deployment scenarios. Integration of Bespoke Edge components with AWS cloud IDF components like Kinesis, IOT Core, and TimeStream will also fall within your scope, as well as understanding modern remote deployment practices based on tools like Ansible or SALT. To excel in this role, you must possess strong relevant experience of at least 7-10 years, a solid understanding of Edge computing environments in industrial settings, proficiency in Java or Python and Django, and the ability to model applications on both RDBMS and NoSQL databases. You should also bring experience in production deployment scenarios, database migrations, and performance tuning, along with a deep knowledge of protocols such as HTTP, HTTP2, TLS, and REST design. Your knack for benchmarking and optimization using techniques like sharding and caching, understanding of secure coding practices, familiarity with Git and Docker, and experience in executing SDLCs and deployment strategies will be invaluable assets. Desired exposure includes familiarity with gRPC, K8s, service mesh, and DevOps technologies, React frontend implementation, robust JS skills, Python frameworks like Pandas, Flask, and TensorFlow, timeseries databases, analytics frameworks, Java, SpringBoot, AWS IDF offerings and architecture, as well as industrial protocols like OPC UA, Modbus, OPC DA, and native PLC data integration.,
