Job Title: Import-Export Executive

Qualification: Any Graduate. MBA / PG Diploma in Foreign Trade will be an added advantage.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Import-Export Executive to manage and oversee our end-to-end international trade operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in handling import-export documentation, coordination with customs and freight agents, and maintaining compliance with applicable regulations. Experience in a manufacturing industry and working with CHA (Customs House Agent) will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities:Import Operations:

  • Prepare and manage purchase orders in SAP.
  • Coordinate with suppliers for shipment status and documentation.
  • Verify import documents for accuracy and discrepancies.
  • Share documents with CFC and ensure proper receipt.
  • Track shipment, IGM status, and customs duty via ICEGATE and shipping line portals.
  • Validate shipping line invoices and arrange payments.
  • Coordinate with CHA for DO, clearance updates, and ensure timely cargo release.
  • Approve import checklists and reconcile CONCOR balances.
  • Submit IGCR intimation letters to customs.
  • Maintain accurate records of all import documents and reports.
  • Share documents with the finance team for foreign remittance processing.
  • Maintain IIN tracking and concessional duty reports.
  • Provide data support during audits and submissions like IDMPS to banks.

Export Operations:

  • Prepare Proforma Invoices (PIs).
  • Coordinate with production and manufacturing for order readiness.
  • Arrange container bookings and manage pre-shipment documentation (e.g., VGM, BL draft).
  • Approve export checklists and transportation documents.
  • Coordinate with CHA/forwarders for document submission and approvals.
  • Submit final export documents to the finance team for payment processing.
  • Prepare disposal instructions upon payment receipt.

Candidate Requirements:

  • 3–5 years of experience in Import-Export operations in a manufacturing setup.
  • Familiarity with working alongside CHAs and understanding of customs processes.
  • Proficiency in SAP and MS Excel for tracking and documentation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good time management and ability to work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and accuracy.

Preferred Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with ICEGATE portal, CONCOR balance tracking, and custom documentation.
  • Knowledge of foreign trade policies, documentation standards, and banking procedures.
