IB Teacher Librarian

As a valued member of Teacher Pool, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging library programs for students. Your role will involve promoting reading and literacy skills through dynamic activities, assisting students in selecting and using appropriate resources, and maintaining and organizing library materials and resources. You will collaborate with teaching staff to support curriculum needs, participate in the development of library policies and procedures, and conduct information literacy sessions for students. Additionally, you will manage the library budget and inventory, evaluate and recommend new materials for the collection, and utilize technology to enhance library services and communication. Furthermore, you will facilitate book clubs and reading challenges, support students in research projects and inquiries, and prepare reports on library usage and program effectiveness. Your commitment to staying updated on trends in library science and education, as well as engaging with parents and the community to promote library initiatives, will contribute to upholding a welcoming and inclusive library environment. Qualifications: - Master's degree in Library Science or Education. - Proven experience as an IB teacher or librarian. - Strong understanding of the International Baccalaureate curriculum. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Ability to connect with students of diverse backgrounds. - Proficient in library management software. - Experience with educational technology integration. - Effective organizational and multitasking abilities. - Commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion. - Strong research and analytical skills. - Experience in leading educational programs. - Willingness to engage in professional development. - Ability to collaborate with faculty and staff. - Knowledge of current trends in library and information science. - Strong leadership and mentorship abilities. - Familiarity with digital literacy initiatives.
