Job Description

HSO is looking for an enthusiastic Accountant to join our dynamic finance team in the US. As the HSO-GS Accountant, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while providing essential support for all accounting functions. This is an exciting opportunity for a self-motivated individual who is looking to make a positive impact in a growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, examine, and analyze financial records and statements for completeness and accuracy
  • Assist with accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely payments and accurate invoicing
  • Perform weekly and monthly reconciliations of bank statements and general ledger accounts
  • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records in accordance with company policies and regulations
  • Support the month-end closing process by preparing necessary journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Assist with the preparation of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts to help guide decision-making
  • Work closely with external auditors to facilitate annual audit processes
  • Implement best practices for accounting and financial reporting procedures
  • Provide support for ad-hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in a general accounting role
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices
  • Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Dynamics GP, or similar)
  • Advanced Excel skills (including the use of formulas and pivot tables)
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities
  • Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Prior experience in a technology or consulting firm is a plus
