Role & responsibilities

General Position information

Position title: GES HR Payroll (Currently we are hiring in contract role which will be for 1 year and this will get extended, this employee will be tagged to Manpower payroll but working for dsm-firmenich.)

Business / SDU: GES HR

Position in the organization

Reports to : Associate Director GES HR APAC & INDIA

  • Team currently works in 7am to 4pm IST (APAC shift) to have an overlap with HRBPs / employees.
  • Base location will be Hyderabad, employee must relocate and to work from office for 3 days in a week at least. Out location is not allowed

Position context

Key Areas of Accountability / Responsibility – Payroll (APAC Countries)

1. Payroll Execution & Compliance

  • Serve as the payroll expert for assigned APAC countries (e.g., Singapore, Malaysia, etc.).
  • Manage the end-to-end payroll life cycle, including salary processing, statutory deductions, tax reporting, and compliance with local labor and social security regulations.

2. Vendor Management

  • Act as the primary contact for designated countries to coordinate payroll processing with external payroll vendors.
  • Ensure timely, accurate, and compliant payroll delivery in collaboration with the vendor.

3. Employee & HR Support

  • Serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for HR and employee payroll-related queries for assigned countries.
  • Provide guidance on payroll policies, tax matters, and compliance requirements.

4. Audit & Governance

  • Lead and support all internal and external payroll audits across assigned entities.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, documentation standards, and audit readiness.

5. Stakeholder Collaboration

  • Work closely with HR, Finance, Compliance, and regional/global payroll teams to ensure process alignment and continuous improvement.

Support integration, system updates, and process harmonization across the APAC payroll landscape.

Knowledge and educational level

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent in relevant discipline (HR/ Business Administration) and professional trainings in HR fields.
  • Good communication skills

Required level of experiences

  • Minimum 2 - 4year’ experience in HR shared services environment preferably, or general HR functions in a multi-national company
