Job Description

Location: Head Office (HO) with responsibility to monitor & support multiple project sites

Department: HR & Administration

Role Overview

The IR Coordinator/Manager will be responsible for industrial relations, statutory compliance, administration, and workforce management across multiple project sites while operating from Head Office in Mahim, Mumbai managing about 60-100 On roll staff and 200-500 Contractual work force,and reporting to HR & Admin Head as well as Project Execution Head.

Key Responsibilities

1. Industrial Relations & Compliance

  • Maintain healthy IR between management, contractors, and workforce.
  • Liaise with labour contractors, authorities, and local stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with CLRA, BOCW, ESI, PF, Shram Suvidha, and state-wise labour norms.
  • Handle inspections, audits, disputes, and disciplinary actions.
  • Monitor multiple sites through regular visits, inspections & audits.

2. Administration & Site Management

  • Supervise site-level security, housekeeping, guest house, transport, and welfare facilities.
  • Ensure timely attendance,wage disbursement, manpower mobilization/demobilization/transfer, and onboarding processes.
  • Handle site incidents including fatalities, accidents, theft, and related insurance claims.
  • Support procurement of admin items (uniforms, PPE, consumables)

4. Employee Welfare & Engagement

  • Ensure implementation of Safety procedures like toolbox talks, conduct awareness sessions, and compliance training.
  • Implement safety drives, health check-ups, and welfare initiatives.
  • Monitor and address employee grievances and retention issues at sites.

5. Reporting & Coordination

  • Prepare and submit MIS reports on IR, compliance, accidents,attendance,leaves,Overtime and manpower status to HO.
  • Maintain documentation to be audit-ready at all times.
  • Act as the first point of contact for site-related IR & admin issues.

Qualification

  • Graduate in any discipline.
  • MBA/PG Diploma in HR/IR/Personnel Management (preferred).

Experience

  • Minimum 6 years in IR & Admin in Infra / EPC / Railway Electrification / Power Transmission projects.
  • Preference: Candidates with experience in handling multiple site locations from HO.

Skills Required

  • Strong knowledge of labour laws, compliance, and IR practices.
  • Experience in handling fatal incidents, theft, accidents, and insurance matters.
  • Excellent negotiation, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate across multiple projects and travel as required.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and ERP systems.
