We are seeking a strategic and experienced Head of Production Planning and Control (PPC) to lead and optimize the end-to-end production planning functions in our fabrication unit. The role involves overseeing planning, scheduling, material management, capacity utilization, and delivery alignment across fabrication, machining, welding, and assembly processes. This is a senior leadership position critical to meeting project timelines, cost targets, and quality expectations. Role & responsibilities Strategic Planning & Execution Develop and lead the overall PPC strategy aligned with organizational goals and project timelines. Forecast workload and plan capacity across various fabrication stages including cutting, welding, bending, machining, painting, and dispatch. Ensure seamless coordination between procurement, production, dispatch and sales department Production Planning & Scheduling Create clear and firm timelines for orders from the date of receipt of Inquiry till the first date of production, while creating checklists for individual departments and monitoring the progress against checklist Create and monitor Master Production Schedules (MPS) based on customer orders, project milestones, and machine availability. Translate sales/engineering inputs into executable fabrication plans while managing plant load and delivery commitments. Mitigate risks due to delays, material shortages, or machine downtime through dynamic scheduling. Material & Inventory Control Collaborate with procurement for timely availability of raw materials (steel plates, pipes, profiles, etc.), consumables, and bought-out items. Implement systems for accurate BOM-based planning and material traceability throughout fabrication processes. Monitor inventory levels to avoid overstocking or material shortages. Team Leadership Lead and mentor a team of PPC engineers, planners, and production coordinators. Build capability in production analytics, planning tools, and lean practices. Drive accountability for plan adherence and departmental KPIs. Process Optimization & Technology Implementation Implement digital tools and ERP systems for planning, scheduling, and shop floor tracking (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics). Introduce visual management, dashboards, and planning boards for real-time monitoring. Identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives, including cycle time reduction and capacity enhancement. Stakeholder & Customer Coordination Act as the key interface between production, project management, procurement, and client teams for status updates and delivery schedules. Ensure on-time delivery of fabricated components as per project requirement, with a strong focus on quality and cost-efficiency. Preferred candidate profile Diploma / B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical / Production / Industrial Engineering. 10+ years of experience in PPC roles within the fabrication or heavy engineering industry , including 3-5 years in a senior leadership capacity. Strong understanding of fabrication processes: welding, machining, cutting, forming, painting, and assembly. Hands-on experience with ERP/MRP systems and project-based manufacturing environments. Role Summary Responsible for managing daily preventive and breakdown maintenance, while leading a team of 3+ electricians for the main company Encorp Powertrans (P) Ltd, and its subsidiary company located within same premises. Key Responsibilities Carry out preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of electrical equipments in the company. Prepare and follow monthly, weekly and daily preventive and predictive maintenance schedule. Manage a team of 3+ electricians and personnels, while assigning responsibilities on timely basis Maintain record and data related to breakdowns and maintenance activities for data record and analyses. Prepare and update electrical drawings, PLC/HMI programs, equipment history, and maintenance records. Monitor KPIs (MTTR, MTBF, and downtime) and prepare daily/weekly/monthly reports. Coordinate with machine OEMs, suppliers, and Electricity Board (EB) department for issue resolution and compliance. Enforce electrical safety, LOTO procedures, audits, grounding/earthing checks. Lead and mentor electricians/technicians, ensuring quick response to breakdowns. Drive root cause analysis, automation upgrades, energy-saving projects, and continuous improvement. Key Skills Required Good written and verbal communication skills, with hands on knowledge of using MS tools like Word, Excel and PowerPoint Strong expertise in motors, drives, PLCs, HMIs, CNC, sensors, encoders, instrumentation, and temperature control systems. Knowledge and experience of induction, servo, stepper, DC), VFDs, PLCs, HMIs, encoders, sensors, and automation systems. Maintain EOT cranes, hydraulic presses, hoists, fabrication machines, and temperature-controlled systems (auto/manual). Prepare and update electrical drawings, PLC/HMI programs, equipment history, and maintenance records. Knowledge of fabrication, welding machines, and galvanizing equipment. Proficiency in electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and automation circuits. Hands-on in utilities (DG sets, compressors, pumps). Effective communication with vendors, OEMs, and EB department. Strong leadership, analytical, and documentation/reports.
