Job Description

IR manager- Sr manager

Contract Labor Management:

  • Ensure proper deployment and management of contract workforce through contractors.
  • Monitor contractor performance, legal compliances, and adherence to agreed SLAs.
  • Verify and approve contractor bills, wage registers, and statutory records.
  • Conduct audits of contract labor practices to ensure compliance with CLRA and other labor laws.

    HR Operations & Administration:

  • Manage employee discipline, time office, and attendance system.
  • Oversee canteen, transport, and welfare facilities for employees.
  • Support manpower planning in coordination with operations and HR team.
  • Implement HR policies and processes at the plant level.
  • Prevent legal or compliance risks related to contract manpower engagement.

Compliance & Legal:

  • Ensure statutory compliance under labor laws (Factories Act, Industrial Disputes Act, CLRA, Payment of Wages, Bonus, Gratuity, PF, ESIC, etc.).
  • Liaison with government authorities Factory Inspector, Labor Commissioner, ESIC, PF offices, etc.
  • Maintain all registers, returns, and documentation as per applicable laws.

Industrial Relations & Employee Relations:

  • Establish and maintain a cordial work environment in the plant.
  • Manage

    Works Committee

    and other employee representative forums in line with statutory requirements.
  • Proactively address worker grievances, absenteeism, and disciplinary issues.
  • Handle misconduct cases, domestic inquiries, and maintain discipline at the workplace.
  • Drive communication and engagement initiatives to avoid unionization tendencies.

Statutory Compliance & Legal Coordination:

  • Ensure end-to-end compliance under Factories Act, CLRA, Payment of Wages Act, Bonus Act, PF, ESIC, Gratuity Act, etc.
  • Liaise with government authorities Factory Inspector, ESIC, PF, Labour Department, Pollution Board, etc.
  • Prepare and submit statutory returns on time.
  • Represent the company in

    labour office hearings, cases, and inspections

  • Maintain updated knowledge of amendments in labor laws

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education:

    MBA / MSW / LLB (preferred specialization in HR/IR).
  • Experience:

    8 to 15 years in HR/IR roles in manufacturing, with hands-on experience in managing unions and contract labor.
  • Languages:

    Proficiency in local language and Hindi/English
