What You ll Be Doing:

The HR Governance & Employee Relations Manager at Evolent International (EI), Pune is an individual contributor role responsible for driving HR governance, compliance, and strategic projects across EI. This role combines policy formulation, regulatory adherence, HR process automation, and project management with a strong focus on risk mitigation and employee experience.

Governance & Compliance

  • Develop, update, implement, and monitor HR governance frameworks, policies, and processes to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct periodic audits of HR processes and recommend improvements to mitigate risks.
  • Ensure statutory compliance and regulatory adherence across India and Philippines, including labor laws and employment regulations.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal and external HR audits.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and cybersecurity protocols in HR processes.

Strategic Initiatives & Project Management

  • Provide strategic and operational support to the VP, Talent & Operations, supporting strategic planning and tracking key deliverables.
  • Lead HR transformation projects such as organizational restructuring, workforce planning, including HRIS implementation, process automation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage cross-functional projects involving Talent, Finance, Legal, and other business operations.
  • Identify process gaps and implement automation or process improvements for efficiency and scalability.

Employee Relations & Risk Management

  • Act as a trusted advisor to business leaders on governance and strategic HR matters.
  • Handle sensitive employee relations cases and grievance redressal.
  • Ensure compliance with POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) regulations, including spearheading the EI Internal Complaints Committee.
  • Support organizational change initiatives, including workforce restructuring and layoffs.
  • Act as a point of contact for crisis communication, ensuring accuracy and alignment with legal/ethical standards.

Compensation, Benefits & Vendor Management

  • Provide oversight on compensation and benefits processes for governance and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with HR vendors, ensuring service quality and cost-effectiveness.

Global HR Partnership

  • Serve as the HR liaison for Evolent Philippines, ensuring alignment with global talent strategy and local compliance.
  • Collaborate with Talent Partners and Talent Centers of Excellence to deliver consistent employee experience globally.

Operational HR Excellence

  • Support performance management cycles, including goal setting, mid-year reviews, and year-end evaluations.
  • Address employee relations issues with fairness, consistency, and legal compliance.
  • Ensure HR policies and practices are up-to-date and aligned with local labor laws and global standards.
  • Leverage HR analytics to drive data-informed decisions and continuous improvement.

Mandatory Requirements:

Employees must have a high-speed broadband internet connection with a minimum speed of 50 Mbps and the ability to set up a wired connection to their home network to ensure effective remote work. These requirements may be updated as needed by the business.
